BREAK OUT THE PARTY BALLOONS!
Jimmy Fay won Best Director at the 2008 Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards for his production of ‘Saved’ at the Peacock Theatre. Hearty congratulations from all here in Bedrock Central.
WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN BEDROCK?
We've been reorganising ourselves. Here's a guide to the recent changes.
Sarah Ling, Bedrock's wonderful Company Manager from 2004 to 2007, left in the spring of last year. She is now working with our photographer of choice, Ros Kavanagh.
During summer and early autumn of 2007, Cian O'Brien joined us and produced Roberto Zucco and La Marea before taking up a position as producer with Rough Magic Theatre Company. We wish him all the best.
In November 2007, Jimmy Fay went on a year's sabbatical from Bedrock and accepted the temporary position of Literary Director of the Abbey Theatre, while Aideen Howard takes maternity leave. (Congratulations to Aideen on the new arrival!)
Alex Johnston, Literary Manager, has taken on the powers and responsibilities of being Bedrock’s artistic director, although his actual title is Development Officer.
All correspondence normally addressed to the Artistic Director should be addressed to him.
Finally, Bedrock has a new Company Manager in the highly capable form of Valerie Murphy. She and Alex will be steering Bedrock through an exciting and dynamic program of new Irish and high-quality international work in 2008.
Bedrock’s new contact details are as follows:
